Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026 Last updated: October 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Clockhub ("Clockhub", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit clockhub.app and use the clocks, timers, calculators, and other time-related tools available on it (collectively, the "Service").
Clockhub is a free, browser-based time tools website. You do not need to create an account to use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide voluntarily
The Service does not require registration. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it to us, for example when you:
- email us for support, feedback, or a business inquiry;
- submit a bug report or feature request through our feedback form.
In these cases we receive your email address and any content you include in your message.
1.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Service, certain technical information is generated automatically, including:
- IP address (in truncated or anonymised form where required);
- browser type, version, and language;
- operating system and device type;
- the pages you view, the date and time of your visit, and the referring URL;
- approximate location derived from IP address (country or region level).
This information is used in aggregate to operate the Service, diagnose technical problems, and understand which tools are useful to visitors. It is not used to identify you personally.
1.3 Information stored in your browser
Some features of the Service store your preferences locally in your browser (for example your selected clock theme, time zone, display settings, or fullscreen preferences). This data is stored using browser local storage and stays on your device. It is not transmitted to us and is removed when you clear your browser data.
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We and our third-party partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary / functional — remembering your settings and preferences so the Service works as expected.
- Analytics — understanding traffic patterns and how visitors use the tools, so we can improve them.
- Advertising — displaying and measuring advertisements that support the Service.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block cookies entirely or to be notified when a cookie is set. If you disable cookies, some features of the Service may not work as intended.
3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense, a service provided by Google LLC and its affiliates, to display advertisements on the Service. Advertising revenue allows us to keep the Service free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar technologies to serve interest-based advertising.
- Third-party vendors and ad networks may also place or read cookies on your browser in connection with advertising served on the Service.
You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time:
- Google Ads Settings — https://www.google.com/settings/ads
- Google's policy on advertising technologies — https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Digital Advertising Alliance (US) — https://optout.aboutads.info
- European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance — https://www.youronlinechoices.eu
Opting out does not remove advertisements from the Service; it means the ads you see will be less relevant to your interests. You can also review Google's partner sites policy and, where available, opt out of a specific third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising through the links above.
4. Analytics Providers
We use the following analytics services to understand how the Service is used:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — collects aggregated usage data such as page views, session duration, approximate geography, and device category. Google Privacy Policy · Opt-out browser add-on
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — collects aggregated interaction data such as clicks, scrolling, and anonymised session recordings, which help us find usability problems. Microsoft Privacy Statement
These providers process data as independent data controllers or processors under their own privacy policies. Where required by law, we configure these tools to anonymise or truncate IP addresses.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- remember your preferences and improve usability;
- analyse aggregate usage and diagnose errors;
- respond to your emails, feedback, and support requests;
- display and measure advertising that funds the Service;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not use your information for purposes unrelated to those listed above.
6. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR and equivalent legislation:
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the Service, understanding aggregate usage, and preventing abuse;
- Consent — where required, for analytics cookies, advertising cookies, and personalised advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time;
- Contract — responding to requests you send us;
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your personal information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- port your information to another provider;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you also have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To opt out of personalised advertising and related cookie-based sharing, use the Google Ads Settings and industry opt-out links in Section 3.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
8. Data Retention
- Contact and support emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request, and are then deleted or archived for a limited period for reference.
- Aggregated analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the relevant provider (typically up to 14 months for Google Analytics 4).
- Browser-stored preferences remain on your device until you clear them.
- Server and security logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
The Service is operated globally and our third-party providers (including Google and Microsoft) may process data in countries other than your own. Where personal data originating in the EEA or UK is transferred outside those regions, the providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Third-Party Links
The Service may link to third-party websites, including our Chrome extension listing and external references. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed through the Service. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our tools, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Service. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
